Telangana Panchayat Elections: Rural war has started in Telangana. The notification for the first round of Gram Panchayat Elections has been released. Acceptance of nominations has also started. In the first phase, elections will be held for 4 thousand 236 village panchayats. Now, the election buzz has started in the respective gram panchayats.. On the first day, 3,242 sarpanch nominations were filed for 4,236 sarpanch positions.. It is low for ward members.. Only 1,821 nominations were filed for 37,440 ward member positions.. The highest number was 421 nominations for 318 sarpanch positions in Nalgonda district. Meanwhile, the State Election Commission has said that 15 nominations have been filed for 114 Sarpanch posts in Komurambhim Asifabad district.

Meanwhile, the local fight has started with the notification of Gram Panchayat elections in Telangana. On Thursday morning at 10:30 AM, the receipt of nominations started with the release of the notification. Special arrangements have been made for the reception of nominations. As part of this, nominations were filed on the first day for some gram panchayats in many districts. The State Election Commission has prepared the ground for conducting the first phase elections efficiently and transparently. The SEC has already announced that the overall Gram Panchayat elections will be conducted in three phases. Commissioner Ranikumidini clarified that elections are being held in 564 mandals in 31 districts of the state. The State Election Commission has clarified that elections for 12,728 gram panchayats and 1,12,242 wards will be held on December 11, 14 and 17.

In the first phase, elections will be held for 4,236 gram panchayats and 37,440 wards in 189 mandals. The acceptance of nominations started with the release of the first batch of notification. Candidates have filed their nominations for sarpanch and ward members of many villages. The nomination fee for SC ST candidates is Rs 1000 and the nomination fee for BC and General candidates is Rs 2 thousand. These nominations can be filed up to 5 pm on 29th. Scrutiny of nominations will be held on November 30. Objections to the nominations can be raised up to 1st December. Withdrawal of nominations can be done on December 3. Further, the State Election Commission will announce the list of contesting candidates on December 3 evening. Polling will be held on December 11. Commissioner Ranikumidini announced that polling will be held from 7 am to 1 am. Counting will take place from 2 pm after the end of polling. After the counting, the returning officer will announce the results. After the results the sub sarpanch has to be elected by the village ward members. As the nomination process of the first round of elections has started… the police are making tight arrangements and conducting inspections. Police are preventing them from carrying money, alcohol and articles that influence voters anywhere.
