According to the company, Rs. 19.95 lakh starting ex-showroom, this 7-seater electric SUV costs a kilometer of just Rs. 1.2, which means that the cost of traveling 100 kilometers in the XEV 9S is just Rs. 120 only. It reveals that it is much cheaper than petrol-diesel, CNG cars as well as hybrid cars.

Mahindra & Mahindra claims that the XEV 9S electric SUV has a running cost of just 40 paise per km. This saves motorists thousands of rupees every month. When deliveries begin next year, it will become clear whether the company’s claims are true or not when owners share their experiences. The company claims that the XEV 9S can travel up to 500 kilometers on a single charge.
This 7-seater electric SUV comes with 3 battery pack options like 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh. Its ex-showroom prices are Rs. 19.95 lakh starting from Rs. 29.45 lakhs. Based on the Mahindra INGLO electric platform, this electric SUV is based on the XUV 700. Along with stylish looks, modern features, special attention has been paid to comfort and safety. The XEV 9S has fast charging support. The company claims that it can be charged from 20 percent to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.

Mahindra’s new XEV 9S is powered by a powerful electric motor capable of producing 210 kW of power and 380 Nm of peak torque. This 7-seater electric SUV accelerates from 0–100 kmph in just 7 seconds. It has a top speed of 202 kmph.
