India Billionaires: Mukesh Ambani who earned the most in the year 2025.. Who is in the top-10?

India is the third country with the highest number of billionaires in the world. Various reports (Forbes, Bloomberg, Hurun) reveal that India will have 200 to 350 billionaires by 2025. The year 2025 saw significant fluctuations in the wealth of India’s billionaires. Mukesh Ambani, head of Reliance Industries, has become the richest person in the country. Mukesh Ambani’s wealth will increase by around $16.5 billion in the year 2025.

The increase was mainly attributed to a gain of around 29% in shares of Reliance Industries. This marks the company’s best performance since 2020. During this period, the company’s refining margins, strength in its retail business including telecom, and expectations of future business diversification all boosted the stock. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, with this increase, Mukesh Ambani’s wealth has grown the most in the list of Indian billionaires.

After Mukesh Ambani, steel company ArcelorMittal’s chairman Lakshmi Mittal’s wealth increased by nearly $12 billion, taking his total wealth to nearly $31 billion. Airtel owner Sunil Mittal’s net worth will increase by around $6 billion by 2025. Airtel shares have also gained around 31% through 2025. According to Bloomberg, Adani Group founder Gautam Adani’s wealth will increase by nearly $5.9 billion by the year 2025. His total wealth is around $84 billion.

Kumar Mangalam Birla’s net worth increased by nearly $4 billion, Uday Kotak’s to nearly $2 billion, cementing his place among India’s top 10 richest people by the end of 2025. Vikram Lal of Eicher Motors, Nusli Wadia of Wadia Group, Rahul Bhatia of Indigo and Sameer Mehta of Torrent Group also added to the list. Shiv Nadar’s (HCL Tech) wealth has fallen by nearly $4 billion. Azim Premji’s (Wipro) wealth has dropped by nearly $3 billion. K.P. Singh (DLF), Dilip Sanghvi (Sun Pharma) whose fortunes have declined.
