Ramdas Athawale: Union Minister of State Ramdas Bandhu Athawale on Wednesday suggested that Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan should join the BJP-led NDA in order to get more funds from the Centre. The CPM strongly criticized the Union Minister’s comments. If Vijayan joins the NDA, it will be a “revolutionary” step and Kerala will get more funds, he said. He said that those funds can be used for the development of Kerala and Prime Minister Modi will give a big package to Kerala.

CPM State Secretary MV Govindan severely criticized Athavale’s comments and described them as anti-democratic and unconstitutional. In the last five years, about Rs.
