The SIT (Special Investigation Team) responded to the inquiry of BRS working president and former minister KTR in the phone tapping case. Officials of the SIT said that KTR was told not to influence the witnesses and that he would be called for further investigation if necessary. He said that he questioned KTR alone.. Evidence and records were asked before him. SIT officials said that today’s investigation is limited to Crime No. 243/2024. It is a case of illegal phone surveillance allegedly done on thousands of people.

The SIT denied the campaign that the phone tapping was done for security reasons. It is clear that some media stories are false and baseless. It said that the investigation is being conducted in a completely legal and impartial manner. It advised people not to believe in false propaganda and to believe in official information. KTR attended the hearing at Jubilee Hills PS at 11 am. Questions were asked on key points related to the case. The SIT interrogated KTR with the evidence on record. After the investigation, KTR held a press meet at Telangana Bhavan.
