Jammu Kashmir: Security forces killed a Pakistani terrorist associated with the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist organization in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Friday. It is considered a key victory for the security forces. Jammu and Kashmir Police said that a Pakistan Jaish terrorist was killed in a joint operation conducted by Army and CRPF in Billawar General area of Kathua district.

The terrorist has been identified as Jaish commander Usman. Police said that a large amount of arms and ammunitions were seized from the scene. The encounter comes days after security forces busted a terrorist hideout at an altitude of 12,000 feet in Kistwar district. These secret bases have many entry and exit points. Four terrorists can stay in it at a time. It contains essential items like food, cooking gas, ghee, grains, blankets. The security forces have launched “Operation Trashi-1” with the aim of killing Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists in this area. In this operation, a soldier named Havaldar Gajendra Singh was killed and seven others were injured in the firing by the terrorists.
