Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar said that procurement of Kharif season grain in the state will begin from November 3. The minister explained that farmers can register their details by sending a message “HI” to WhatsApp number 7337359375. He said the government has set a procurement target of 51 lakh tonnes of grain for the kharif crop season of 2025-26. For this, 3,013 Rythu Seva Kendras and 2,061 Grain Purchase Centers have been set up across the state. He said that 10,700 personnel have been prepared to participate in the grain collection process.
Minister Nadendla Manohar issued instructions to the officials, “After buying grain from the farmers, the money will be deposited in their accounts within 24 to 48 hours. Keeping in mind the experiences of last year, quality warehouses should be prepared in advance this time. We should take early steps to avoid any problems in the matter of machinery to determine the moisture content and transportation facilities.” He ordered that comprehensive arrangements should be made for the convenience of farmers and that the collection process should be transparent in all districts. The minister himself will inaugurate a grain purchase center at Arugolanu village in Tadepalligudem mandal on November 3 this month. Minister Nadendla Manohar has made it clear that the main objective of the government is to protect the interests of the farmers and make them free from difficulties in grain collection.
