CM REVANTH: The development work in 100 days is completed .. The construction of the temple is just in their traditions and beliefs!

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has assured that the government will undertake the development and expansion of the Sri Sammakka-Saralamma temple in Medaram while fully respecting the beliefs and traditions of Adivasi communities. A review meeting was held under his leadership, where representatives of temple priests and Adivasi associations participated. Officials presented detailed plans and designs for temple expansion, and after consultations, a consensus was reached to begin the works.

Respect for Adivasi Culture

During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized that nothing is greater than devotion and tradition. He stated that the government’s approach to temple development would prioritize the cultural values of Adivasis rather than treating it merely as a financial project. Revanth Reddy reiterated that development should strengthen faith and not compromise cultural identity.

Temple Works to Be Completed in 100 Days

The CM directed officials to complete the temple development works within 100 days. He ordered the construction of durable stone structures capable of withstanding natural calamities and instructed the Irrigation Department to build check dams to ensure proper water storage. A special team will also be formed to oversee the progress of the temple development project.

Personal Connection and Commitment

Revanth Reddy shared his personal bond with Sammakka-Saralamma, recalling that his political journey began with blessings from the deities in February 2023. He praised the Adivasi community’s struggles and said that their spirit of resistance continues to inspire him. Concluding the meeting, the Chief Minister honored the temple priests and offered symbolic gifts, including 68 kilograms of jaggery, traditionally associated with the Medaram Jatara.
