Hindu Girl Forced Conversion: A case has been registered against five minor Muslim girls in Bilari Police Station of Moradabad district in Uttar Pradesh. Police officials claimed that the Hindu girl was forced to wear a burqa and forced to convert. Although this incident took place on December 12, 2025, it came to light recently. The matter came to light when the victim’s elder brother Daksh Chaudhary (16) filed a complaint at the Bilari police station. The five girls attended the same tuition class as the school they were studying in. They allegedly forced her to wear a burqa and convert to a different religion.

Meanwhile, the case has been registered under Section 3, Section 5(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Prevention of Conversion Act. This Act criminalizes conversion by fraud, coercion, intimidation, undue influence or attraction. According to the police, the video of this conversion has gone viral on social media. In the video, a Hindu girl wears a burqa in a narrow street while other girls are seen fixing the burqa on her dress. The incident took place while they were going to a restaurant. The police said that the victim wore a burqa because she was afraid that her brother would see her.

Meanwhile, Rural SP Kunwar Akash Singh said that a case was registered after receiving the complaint. A full-scale investigation into the incident is said to be ongoing. He said that the intention of the accused and the reasons behind the incident are being investigated deeply. However, under this law, if found guilty in conversion cases involving minors, they could be punished with rigorous imprisonment of at least five years to 14 years. He said that since all the accused were minors, they were not detained immediately. The investigation on whether they were forced into the incident is going on.
