Cyclone Senyar is heading south. The Meteorological Department said that the severe depression formed over the Strait of Malacca has strengthened into Typhoon &#8216;Sanyar&#8217; on Wednesday. The IMD said that due to the cyclone, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Yanam will receive heavy rains in the coming days. Meanwhile, Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram and Nagapatnam districts of Tamil Nadu are facing floods due to rains.<\/p>\n<p>Heavy to very heavy rains will occur in Andaman and Nicobar Islands between November 23-28. Rainfall of 105-204 mm is likely in 24 hours. Wind speed is expected to be 35\u201345 kmph.<\/p>\n<p>Officials have warned fishermen not to go fishing as the sea will be rough.
