Kashibugga Stampede: Minister Anam Rama Narayana Reddy left for Visakhapatnam from Gannavaram Airport and from there went to the site of Kashibugga Venkateswara Swamy Temple stampede incident in Srikakulam district. Speaking to the media at the airport on this occasion, he said that the accident at the Venkateswara temple in Kashibugga has shaken everyone’s minds. This incident is a very unfortunate incident. The death of 9 innocent women and an 11-year-old boy is very sad. It is said that this temple is a temple built and managed by private individuals under a private organization.<\/p>\n

The minister said that the government officials and public representatives are not being informed about the programs and festivals taking place in the temple. The temple committee said that there is a need to inform the government that they built the temple with good intentions by spending crores. It has been revealed that the temple has no permission from the Devadaya Department and no revenue permission. He clarified that the temple is under the municipal jurisdiction, but no permission has been given to the temple by the municipal department. He said that the temple does not even have police permission. He said that since today is Mukkoti Ekadashi, even knowing that thousands of people will come, they did not inform the local authorities. However, he said that some constables have been arranged there in anticipation of which temples will be crowded in order to celebrate SP Ekadashi and Kartik month.<\/p>\n
He said that till now such a big festival has never been held in this temple and this incident may have happened because the organizers did not expect such a large number of people to come. Local Minister Acham Naidu and legislator Gautu Sirisha have already stayed there since morning and are monitoring the situation there along with the Collector and SP. It was stated that Minister Lokesh and Union Minister Rammohan Naidu also left Visakhapatnam for Kashibugga. They also said that they will inspect the incident site and take decisions on further relief measures. After reviewing the instructions of Minister Lokesh, Acham Naidu along with Union Minister Rammohan Naidu and local legislators spoke to Sirisha and said that the necessary report will be taken and submitted to the government. He said that appropriate measures will be taken to prevent such incidents from happening again in the future.<\/p>\n
