Mohanlal: Veteran actor Mohanlal reminisced about his unexpected entry into the film industry. He participated as the chief guest in the opening ceremony of his daughter Vismaya’s first film ‘Thudakkam’. Speaking at this ceremony, he said that he never thought that his children would come into films. He revealed that he has given freedom to his children in terms of career. He said that acting in movies is not as easy as thought. But as his daughter Vismaya decided to become an actress, she said that she was given the necessary support. He said that he is entering the film industry with a good story.

Mohanlal said that he never thought of acting in films. He revealed that it was his destiny to become an actor. He said that the audience has been supporting him for the last 48 years and only because of them he is at his level. As for his children, he said that they have some goals of their own and he respects their opinions. Later Mohanlal’s wife Suchitra said that this year is very special for their family. She expressed her happiness on receiving Mohanlal’s Dada Saheb Phalke Award, her son Pranav’s new film (Diyas Irai to be released on 31st of this month) and her starting a new journey as an amazing actress. Jude Anthony Joseph of ‘2018’ movie fame is directing Vismaya’s new movie.
