A huge explosion occurred in a Mexico supermarket. A total of 23 people, including children, lost their lives in the landslide. 11 people were injured in this accident. This terrible accident has scared the locals. Officials who received information about the accident immediately reached the spot and started rescue operations. The injured were taken to hospital. Sonora state governor Alfonso Durazo said in a video message that many of the dead were minors, and that he had ordered a transparent investigation to determine the cause of the explosion and punish those responsible.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum offered her condolences to the families of the victims in a post on Instagram. She contacted the governor of Sonora and promised to help as much as possible. The President ordered Interior Secretary Rosa Isela Rodríguez to send an aid team to help the families of the dead and the injured.

Local authorities clarified that it was not an attack or a violent incident. The head of the city’s fire department said that an investigation is underway to confirm whether an explosion actually took place. Sonora Attorney General Gustavo Salas, citing forensic reports, said most of the deaths were caused by inhalation of toxic gas. Some media reports attributed the fire to an electrical fault. Officials say an electrical transformer inside the shop may have caused the accident.
