AP New Districts: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has approved the formation of three new districts in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The CM decided to form Markapuram, Madanapalle districts and Polavaram district as the center of Rampachodavaram. The CM, who reviewed the report given by the Committee of Ministers at the Secretariat on Tuesday, gave his approval for these changes. With this decision, a total of 29 districts will be formed in the state. He also agreed to set up 5 new revenue divisions. A decision has been taken to form Nakkapalli in Anakapalli district, Addaki in Prakasam district, Peeleru in the newly formed Madanapalli district, Banaganapalle in Nandyal district and Madakasira in Srisatyasai district. The officials were ordered to divide the Adoni mandal of Kurnool district and form a new Peddhaharivanam mandal.

The geography of the three districts is as follows.
Polavaram District:
A new Polavaram district will be formed with Rampachodavaram and Chintur revenue divisions in Rampachodavaram constituency. Rampachodavaram revenue division will have Rampachodavaram, Devipatnam, Vairamavaram, Gurthedu, Addathigala, Gangavaram, Maredumilli and Rajavommangi mandals. Yetapaka, Chintoor, Koonavaram and Vararamachandrapuram mandals have been included in Chintoor division. The newly formed Polavaram district with Rampachodavaram as its center has a population of 3.49 lakhs.
Markapuram District:
Markapuram will be formed as a new district with Markapuram and Kanigiri revenue divisions of Yarragondapalem, Markapuram, Kanigiri and Giddalur constituencies. Yarragondapalem, Pullalacheruvu, Tripurantakam, Dornala, Peddaravidu, Tarlupadu, Markapuram, Podili, Konakanamitla Mandals in Markapuram Revenue Division, as well as Hanumanthuni Padu, Veligandla, Kanigiri, Pedacherlopalli, Chandrasekharapuram, Pamuru, Giddalur, in Kanigiri Division. Basetawaripet, Racharla, Komarolu, Kambham and Ardhaveedu mandals will be in new districts. This district is going to be formed with a total population of 11.42 lakhs.
Madanapalli District:
A new Madanapalli district will be formed with Madanapalle and Peeleru revenue divisions in Madanapalle, Tamballapalle, Punganur and Peeleru constituencies. Madanapalle, Nimmanapalle, Ramasamudram, Tamballapalle, Mulakala Cheruvu, Pedamandyam, Kurabalakota, PT Samudram, Beerongi Kothakota, Chaudepalle, Punganur Mandals in Madanapalle Revenue Division and also Sadum, Somala, Peeleru, Gurramkonda, Kalakada, Kambhamvari Palle, Kalikiri, Valmikipuram in Peeleru Division. There will be zones. A new district will be formed with a total population of 11.05 lakh.

Change in revenue divisions.
He approved the recommendation made by the Committee of Ministers to merge Nandigam Mandal in Palasa Division of Srikakulam District in Tekkali Division. It has been decided to form a new Nakkapalli Revenue Division with mandals in Payakarao Petya-Yalamanchili constituencies of Anakapalli district. Samarlakota Mandal in Kakinada Division was approved to be merged with Peddapuram Division. Ambedkar decided to merge Mandapet, Rayavaram, Kapileswarapuram mandals in Mandapet constituency of Konaseema district in Rajamahendravaram division. Penugonda Mandal in West Godavari District will be renamed as Vasavi Penugonda Mandal from now on.
Addanki constituency in Bapatla district will be merged with Prakasam district. Along with this, a new revenue division is going to be formed for Addnaki and Darshi constituencies. Marripudi and Ponnalur Mandals which are currently in Kanigiri Revenue Division will be merged in Kandukur Revenue Division. Kandukuru constituency will be merged with Prakasam district. Kaluvai, Rapur and Saidapuram in Venkatagiri Constituency of Nellore District will be merged into Guduru Division of Tirupati District. Bangarupalyam in Palamaneru Division will be merged in Chittoor Division. Peeleru Revenue Division will be formed with Sadum, Somala, Peeleru, Gurram Konda, Kalakada, KB Palli, Kalikiri and Valmikipuram mandals. Chaudepally and Punganur Mandals of Palamaneru Division will be merged into Madanapally Revenue Division.
Ontimitta and Siddhavatam in Kadapa district will be merged in Rajampet revenue division. Madakasira in Sri Satyasai district will be formed as a new revenue division. Amadaguru Mandal in Kadiri Division will be merged with Puttaparthi Revenue Division. Gorantla Mandal in Puttaparthi Division will be merged in Penukonda Division. A new Banaganapalle Revenue Division is going to be formed with Banaganapalle, Avuku, Sanjamala and Kolimigundla Mandals of Nandyala Division in Nandyala District, Don Revenue Division.
No change in 9 districts:
With the recommendations of the Committee of Ministers, newly formed districts and revenue divisions have been added in the existing 17 districts. No changes have taken place in the remaining 9 districts of Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Visakhapatnam, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Palanadu and Anantapur districts. These proposals made by the committee of ministers will be discussed in the next cabinet meeting. After the approval of the Cabinet, the official notification will be released on the formation of new districts and changes in revenue divisions.
