Now even eggs are being adulterated as if nothing is unfit for adulteration. Some people are addicted to money and resort to atrocities. Almost everyone includes egg in their diet which provides good nutrients. To cash it in, eggs are being made using artificial color. The food safety department in Moradabad has uncovered a major fraud. The department raided a warehouse and found an entire factory manufacturing desi eggs with artificial colours. The team recovered 80,000 eggs from the scene. These include 45,360 colored eggs and 35,640 white eggs. These were dyed and converted into desi eggs. All the eggs were immediately confiscated and the entire warehouse was seized.

According to officials, the white eggs are artificially colored to resemble Indian eggs. Experts say that this color poses a serious health risk. The team also identified a chemical called sidanur, a tea leaf solution used to change the color of eggs. Officials said that the total market value of these eggs is around Rs.389,772. They claimed that an investigation is underway to find out where the dyed eggs are being supplied. He said that a case has been registered and investigation is being conducted.
