AP Government: With the formation of two new districts in Andhra Pradesh, the total number of districts has increased from 26 to 28. According to the final notification released by the government, two new districts namely Markapuram and Polavaram have been officially recognized. Also, although there are 77 revenue divisions in the state so far, the total number has reached 82 if we add the 5 revenue divisions that are being established.

Polavaram district in-charge collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar has been appointed by the government.. A.S. who is currently serving as Alluri District Collector. Dinesh Kumar has been appointed in-charge of Polavaram district. Also, Amit Bardar has been appointed as the in-charge SP.. Amit Bardar, who is currently SP of Alluri district, has been appointed as SP (in-charge) of Polavaram district. Government has appointed Tirumani Sri Pooja as Joint Collector.. Tirumani Sri Pooja who is currently JC of Alluri District has been appointed as JC of Polavaram District.
Also, Markapuram district in-charge collector P. Rajababu was appointed by the government. P. who is currently the collector of Prakasam district. Rajababu was appointed as the in-charge of Markapuram district. On the other hand, as in-charge SP V. Harshvardhan Raju was announced.. V. who is currently the SP of Prakasam district. Harshavardhan Raju has been appointed as SP in charge of Markapuram district. Also, Ronanki Gopala Krishna has been appointed as JC.. Ronanki Gopala Krishna, who is currently JC of Prakasam district, has been appointed as JC in-charge of Markapuram district. To this extent, the Secretary to the State Government, K. Vijayanand, issued an official order.
