The government has issued an official order increasing the current monthly stipend of Rs.4,500 to Rs.12,000. The State Government has approved the proposals of the Director General of Police (DGP) regarding the increase in stipend. Government sources have revealed that this decision has been taken in the wake of increased expenses and living expenses during police training. The government has issued instructions to the DGP to take necessary further steps regarding the implementation of the wage hike. To this extent, Chief Secretary Home Department Kumar Vishwajit has issued an official order.
