Currently there is a rush of mass and action films on the silver screen, but some are making films differently. ‘Sahkutumbanam’ is a movie that comes in the background of family values with perfect family emotions at such a time. With senior actors Rajendra Prasad and Brahmanandam playing key roles, the movie has good expectations among the audience and let’s see if it lives up to those expectations.

Sahkutumbanam Story: Kalyan (Ram Kiran) is a software employee. He advertises to the outside world, on social media, that he has a wonderful, close-knit family. Siri (Megha Akash) who works in the same office is an orphan. Seeing his love for Kalyan’s family, she falls in love with him. However, behind this beautiful ‘family buildup’ lies a bitter truth. In fact, the situation in Kalyan’s house is completely different from what is being said. Hero does not like his family members at all. What is the reason for the differences between the family? Why did Kalyan have to lie? How did the whole family get together in the end? That is the story of this movie.

Analysis: Director Uday Sharma has written a story by linking the ‘fake’ lifestyle shown by today’s youth on social media and the real problems of middle class families. The point of bringing together the separated minds with an orphan girl showing the value of family is good. The first half of the movie is fun with the love track between the hero-heroine and satya comedy. A twist in the interval increases the interest in the second half. However, in the second half, the story feels a bit slow. Although some scenes seem routine, the narrative picks up momentum with the entry of Brahmanandam. The emotional scenes in the climax will impress the family audience.

As far as the actors are concerned, even though it is the first film, Ram Kiran acted without faltering anywhere. He also impressed in dances and action scenes. If not, it would have been better to be more careful about dubbing. Megha Akash played the role of Siri very soberly. Her performance as a young woman who aspires to family values is natural.
Rajendra Prasad & Brahmanandam are the main strength of the movie. Rajendra Prasad brought life to the role of the father with his experience, and after a long time, Brahmanandam was a complete entertainer. Satya and Rachcha Ravi’s comedy timing is good.

When it comes to the technical department, Mani Sharma’s music is excellent at some places, especially in the emotional scenes, his BGM is a plus. Madhu Dasari’s cinematography is colorful and gives the right feel to a family drama. The production values are up to the standard of the film. The output would have been sharper if director Uday Sharma had paid more attention to the narration and cut some of the slow scenes.

Finally ‘Sahkutumbanam’ is a routine clean family entertainer
