On the occasion of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy held a key meeting with Christel Lussier Brodard, Chief Minister of Vaud, Switzerland. In this meeting, the enhancement of cooperation between the two states was discussed in the context of the India-Switzerland Free Trade Agreement. On this occasion, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy explained Telangana Rising-2047 vision to Swiss delegates. When the Chief Minister proposed the idea of setting up the world’s first ‘Swiss Mall’ in Hyderabad, the Swiss team immediately responded positively.
As both the Chief Ministers are footballers, the partnership in the field of sports was also extensively discussed. They believe that they can work together in sports training and infrastructure development. The leaders shared views on opportunities for mutual cooperation in the fields of culture, education, skill development and training, especially in the fields of hospitality management and sports. Opportunities in the fields of retail and life sciences were discussed. The Swiss team has shown interest in self-help groups’ activities related to women’s empowerment. Wad State Industries and Finance Minister Isabel Moret said that the Swiss team will soon come to Hyderabad to examine the aspects of cooperation.
