According to Prakhar Jain, Managing Director of AP Disaster Management Organization, heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur in South Coast and Rayalaseema districts for the next two days under the influence of Cyclone Ditwa. So, people are advised to be alert. Tomorrow (November 30) heavy rains are likely to occur in Prakasam, Nellore, Kadapa, Annamaiya, Chittoor and Tirupati districts. Also, there is a chance of moderate rains in Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu, Kurnool, Nandyala, Anantapur and Srisatyasai districts. Further, AP State Disaster Management Agency has revealed that there is a chance of light rain at some places in Anakapalli, Kakinada, Konaseema, East Godavari, West Godavari, Eluru, Krishna and NTR districts.

Hyderabad City Cyber Crime Unit has recently issued an important warning to the public. A new type of cyber-fraud that is growing across the country in the name of “Digital Arrest” is spreading in Hyderabad as well. The main objective of this scam is to scare people and steal money by pretending to be officials of fake police, CBI, ED, customs, or courier companies and calling them by saying that they have been booked in serious crimes like money laundering, terrorism, narcotics cases and trafficking. Victims are tricked into believing that warrants have been issued and that accounts will be frozen, pretending to be “arrested” via video call or phone. Fraudsters prepare and send fictitious documents like fake FIRs, one-bailable warrants, RBI letters to bolster their conspiracy. In order to avoid suspicion, the pressure is increased by saying that the reputation of the family will be harmed. In order to get out of the case, a huge amount of money is collected and “deposited to the Supreme Court” and transferred immediately. Social engineering techniques are used, warning not to tell family members.

The biggest real estate fraud committed by Rainbow Meadows construction company in Kishtareddypet of Sangareddy district has recently come to light. Believing it to be a layout approved by HMDA, 40 villas were illegally constructed and sold to innocent people in various survey numbers. As the recent survey by the revenue authorities confirmed that all these villas are in the government land of survey numbers 198, 199, 204, 208, 210, the buyers are expressing serious concern. For these villas each family will pay Rs. 90 lakh to Rs. 1.1 crore has been spent. In total, the victims had to pay around Rs. More than 40 crores of investment has been lost. When this fraud came to light, the victims started agitating for justice. In the past, when some victims raised doubts, the Rainbow Meadows organization had given a written agreement (MOU) that they would return all the money borrowed if the land was found to belong to the government. However, now that it has been confirmed that it is a government site, the victims are left in a state of disorientation as the construction company turns a blind eye.

Former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and Chief of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Khaleda Zia (80) has seriously deteriorated. Her chest infection spread to her heart and lungs and she was rushed to the hospital. Her close aide said her condition turned critical on Friday. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the doctors said that her health condition is very critical, the media reported there. Zia has been suffering from several health problems including liver and kidney problems, diabetes, arthritis and eye related diseases for a long time.
