He said that on December 1, there will be heavy to very heavy rains in Prakasam and Nellore districts, but there is a chance of heavy rains in some places in Krishna, Guntur and Bapatla districts. Eluru, NTR, Palnadu, Kadapa and Annamaya districts will receive moderate to heavy rains here and there. There is a chance of light rain at many places in other districts. According to the directives of Home and Disaster Management Minister Anita, 2 NDRF teams have been kept ready in Kadapa and 3 SDRF teams in Venkatagiri for emergency relief operations.

Also, the Department of Meteorology stated that the state emergency operation center of the disaster management organization is monitoring the progress of the typhoon and alerting the administration of the affected districts from time to time. Instructions have been given to set up a state control room and mandal level control rooms in the districts. He said that the government has already issued orders on the mitigation measures to be taken department wise. Also, the fishermen who went hunting in the sea have been brought back and the farmers have been asked to take proper precautions during heavy rains.
